Meet Sadie, the Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Unlike her brother Reuben who hammed it up for the camera (you’ll meet him later), Sadie wasn’t a huge fan of  my Nikon. A lot of dogs are camera shy and Sadie definitely fell into the “please get that thing away from me” category.

I did get a “normal” picture of her happy retriever self, enjoying an ear scratch from her human. But there was something about this picture – no matter how imperfect – that I just liked better.
